How to Enable Silent Mode in Avast

Silent Mode in Avast can improve your gaming experience by removing annoying alerts and notifications. This article will show you how to enable silent mode in Avast and get the most out of it while gaming.

Avast provides more than antivirus security. Avast is now a preferred choice for gamers. However, some games may slow your PC down or disrupt gameplay. Avast’s “Silent Gaming Mode” disables all alerts and notifications while you play a game. This allows you to focus on your game instead of worrying about the performance of your PC.

While this mode is active the antivirus features are running. This includes a virus scan as well as a threat detection scanner, and other advanced features. If you are worried about how any of these features are slowing down your PC, you can disable them before using the Silent Gaming Mode.

You must first ensure that your computer meets Avast’s system requirements. This means you’ll need to have at least a Pentium III processor, 20GB of free space and an i.e. 512MB of RAM.

When you have met the minimum system requirements, you will be able to go to the Avast settings and select the “Notifications” tab. You’ll need to select the box at the top of this menu marked “Don’t display any pop-ups, alerts, or messages (Silent gaming mode)” in order to activate this mode.
